Eid ul Mawlid: Fubara Charges Muslims on Peace, Tolerance, Unity

Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara has called upon Muslim citizens to contemplate the admirable qualities of peace, empathy, tolerance, selflessness, and service to humanity during the celebration of Eid ul Mawlid, which commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). In a goodwill message to celebrate the occasion, Fubara emphasized that these virtues, deeply cherished by the Prophet, can foster harmony and positive transformation within society.

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Onwuka Nzeshi, the governor reiterated his administration's dedication to ensuring that every resident of Rivers, irrespective of religion or ethnicity, enjoys peace, security, and equal opportunities for growth. Fubara expressed his hope that Allah (SWT) would accept the prayers of the faithful, bless them with good health, prosperity, and lasting peace in their state and nation.

He further affirmed that Rivers State takes pride in its diversity and the unity that brings together Christians, Muslims, and followers of all faiths. Governor Fubara urged the citizens to cherish their diversity and promote harmony, tolerance, and understanding, emphasizing that shared values of compassion, forgiveness, and unity should guide their daily lives.
