Baleba completes £70m Man Utd move from Brighton

Manchester United has signed Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton for £70 million. The Old Trafford club paid an initial £65 million, with a potential £5 million in add-ons. Brighton negotiated a sell-on clause, and United acquired him after bolstering their midfield following the arrivals of Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.

Baleba has signed a five-year contract with an option to extend for a further year. The midfielder expressed his excitement about joining the club of his dreams and playing at Old Trafford, praising the opportunity to work with Michael Carrick, who is considered an ideal coach. Baleba was previously injured during Brighton's pre-season training camp in Austria but has signed a five-year deal with the option to extend for another year.
