APC reopens membership registration exercise August 31

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the resumption of its electronic membership registration process across Nigeria, beginning on August 31, 2026, in preparation for the 2027 general elections. According to a statement released in Abuja, the move is part of a broader effort to modernize the party's membership database, enhance data accessibility, and promote internal democracy.

All registered members, including those who have already been part of the party, are encouraged to validate their existing membership during the exercise. Meanwhile, new and prospective members are urged to participate in the registration process. To be eligible, individuals must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number.

APC's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating that it aims to digitize the party's membership register, ensure the accuracy of membership records, and facilitate efficient access to data for planning and decision-making. He highlighted the exercise as a step towards strengthening democratic practices within the party.
