All Blacks come from behind to edge Lions and stay unbeaten on tour

New Zealand's All Blacks fought back from a 18-point deficit to edge the Lions 41-35 in Johannesburg on Tuesday, maintaining their unbeaten run on their South Africa tour. The victory saw them beat all four provincial opponents on their six-week, eight-match tour, as well as defeat the Springboks 33-16 in the first test. Ethan Blackadder, Rieko Ioane, and Emoni Narawa scored two tries each for the All Blacks, with Noah Hotham contributing one.

Richie Mo'unga, returning to the team for the first time since the 2023 World Cup final, converted three of the tries. The Lions, led by captain Francke Horn, scored seven tries, with Nico Steyn, Sibabalwe Mahashe, Kelly Mpeku, Erich Cronje, and Francke Horn among the scorers. The Lions' lead of 35 points, the most by a provincial or club side against the All Blacks, stemmed from a strong start in the first half, which they quickly extended to a 21-12 lead.

However, New Zealand's resurgence in the second half, including two tries from Ioane within seven minutes, saw them reduce the deficit to four points. The All Blacks secured the win with Narawa's last-try of the game.
