Aaron Donald's potential Rams return reportedly hits a snag

Aaron Donald remains undecided about returning to the Los Angeles Rams, with financial concerns potentially complicating his decision. On The Rich Eisen Show, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer revealed that the financial aspects of a potential deal, including how much the team would pay him and how it fits into their budget, are causing delays.

Breer noted that Donald, who is still under a $30 million contract from his final year with the Rams, isn't likely to return for free. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on his podcast that this $30 million holdover from his contract is complicating any return. Donald could simply state his desire to return, but the Los Angeles Rams, currently with only $15 million in cap space and expensive new contracts for Matthew Stafford, Myles Garrett, and Trent McDuffie, may not be willing to pay him that much.

Additionally, Donald wants to feel confident he can still play at the level he's known for, adding another layer of complexity to his decision. He has until Week 14 to decide if he will return.
