2027: Otuaro Urges Ijaw Youths to Back Tinubu’s Election, Kwara Marches for Him

Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, has encouraged Ijaw Youth Council to rally support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 elections. Otuaro made this appeal during a meeting with the newly inaugurated 10th leadership of the IYC, headed by President Doubra Okotete, at his office in Abuja.

He emphasized that backing Tinubu for a second term is in the strategic interest of the Ijaw people and the broader Niger Delta region, while warning against divisions that could weaken the region's political influence. Otuaro urged against allowing anyone to divide the Ijaw people or trade them for a new hope, stating that supporting Tinubu is in their national interest for the upcoming 2027 elections.

The IYC's President, Doubra Okotete, expressed gratitude to the PAP and its Administrator, Otuaro, for their remarkable success in educating and empowering Niger Delta youths. The IYC president commended Otuaro's management of the programme and indicated the council's readiness to enhance its partnership with the PAP and explore additional collaboration areas.

In a separate development, a coalition of Kwara Youth Organisations and Arewa Youth Assembly marched in Ilorin to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for creating the Nigerian Army Battalion, 9 Division in the state capital. The coalition hailed the creation of the 9 Division as a strategic masterstroke that would bolster the security and economic development of Kwara.

They also highlighted the potential for job creation, improved security, and investor attraction that the new military unit brings. The coalition stressed the importance of supporting the security agencies and expressed confidence that the 9 Division would significantly reduce insecurity in Kwara and neighboring states.
