2027: Nigerians don’t need people too big to talk to them – NDC hits Tinubu, Atiku

Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has declared that Nigerians do not require politicians who are too inaccessible to communicate with. Theo Abu Agada, the Director of New Media and Strategic Communications for the NDC, made this point while criticizing President Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, for their absence during a recent Peace Accord signing in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The NBA had organized the Peace Accord signing for political parties and their candidates. Agada expressed disappointment in the absence of both Tinubu and Atiku, stating that only the NDC's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has been actively engaging with Nigerians. Agada's statement was shared on X, where he emphasized that Nigerians do not need politicians who are "too big to talk to them."

He further added that Obi has been readily available, consistently meeting and conversing with Nigerians throughout the election campaign.
