The debate around transgender participation in women’s sports has spilled into another WNBA game after rallies outside Fever road games. After Natasha Cloud’s heated confrontation with Enes Kanter Freedom, the Chicago Sky and head coach Tyler Marsh have put themselves behind her in support.
The heated confrontation between Natasha Cloud of the Chicago Sky and Enes Kanter Freedom of the Indiana Fever took place during a WNBA game on June 5. After the incident, which occurred in the third quarter, Freedom was escorted out of the game by arena security. Despite the fallout, Chicago Sky head coach Tyler Marsh and his team have shown their support for Cloud, stating that she was not a distraction and will always stand on her side.
Sky forward Azura Stevens acknowledged the fan incident, focusing on the game and moving forward. Freedom has since gained attention for his public support of biological women in women's sports and announced his intention to enter the WNBA Draft in 2027.
