US-based Vertex Group to enter India's MICE, corporate travel space segment

DMCI Homes, a property development subsidiary of DMCI Holdings, is expanding its business into the meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) sector. The company plans to inaugurate its first convention center at the Solmera Beach Park Resort in Batangas early next year. The resort's main convention center boasts a capacity for 1,000 attendees and features a function hall exceeding 2,000 square meters, accompanied by a 935-square-meter veranda designed for conference, banquet, and exhibition hosting.

Alfredo Austria, DMCI Homes' president, emphasized the meticulous attention to design, ensuring the center stands out in both aesthetics and functionality. Austria also expressed confidence that the resort would bolster Solmera Beach Park Resort's role in San Juan's tourism landscape, particularly in MICE events, as San Juan aims to become a prominent destination for such gatherings.

The Solmera Beach Park Resort, anticipated to be operated by DMCI Hospitality and Leisure Inc., is poised to stimulate demand for hospitality services and foster opportunities for businesses that bolster the tourism sector.
