UAE braces for unsettled weather as rain chances persist through Thursday

Dubai, United Arab Emirates is bracing for continued unsettled weather through Thursday, as rain chances linger following three days of showers and heavy downpours in Al Ain. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts a mix of fair to partly cloudy conditions Monday, with developing convective clouds over eastern regions later in the day and a chance of rainfall.

Overnight humidity will increase in certain coastal areas. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds will remain light to moderate, reaching up to 35km/h at times, with seas being slight in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Rainfall is expected to spread to additional areas on Tuesday, with the NCM forecasting fair to partly cloudy skies and convective clouds forming in eastern and southern parts during the afternoon, accompanied by localized rainfall. Overnight humidity will rise in coastal and inland regions, with a potential for fog or mist. Winds will remain southeasterly to northeasterly, increasing to 40km/h around convective clouds and possibly stirring up dust.

The unsettled weather is anticipated to persist into Wednesday, with the NCM predicting convective clouds could again develop over eastern and southern areas during the day, followed by an extension of rainfall to some inland parts. Winds will become stronger around these clouds, ranging from 15 to 30km/h and possibly reaching 45km/h, with the potential for blowing dust and sand. Overnight humidity will again increase, with a chance of fog or mist over coastal areas.

Thursday is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with the possibility of convective clouds developing over eastern regions in the afternoon, bringing another chance of rain. Winds will be light to moderate, but may strengthen to 40km/h around clouds, potentially causing blowing dust. Overnight humidity will rise in coastal areas. Seas will remain slight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
