These are the 6 most annoying air traveler habits according to Americans, from wearing pajamas to reclining your seats

A new survey conducted by travel website The Points Guy found that most Americans consider cabin noise to be the most annoying behavior of fellow passengers on flights. According to the survey, 42% of US adults believe that flying etiquette has gotten worse in the past five years, with 52% blaming other passengers for the decline.

The most common complaints included people listening to audio without headphones, reclining their seats too far back, and taking off their shoes in the cabin. These behaviors have sparked debate among passengers and flight attendants, with some flight attendants warning against disregarding seat belt signs and attending to personal hygiene.

US Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy also weighed in, advising passengers to dress better and control their frustration during travel. Airlines have also taken notice, with German airline Lufthansa releasing a collection of apparel that playfully references the "middle seat gets the armrests" rule.

While 38% of respondents believed that whatever is comfortable is the appropriate attire for flying, 34% said casual athletic or loungewear is acceptable. Just 1% of respondents considered pajamas appropriate, while another 1% said revealing clothing is acceptable. Most airlines already have policies against clothing that is too revealing or contains offensive or vulgar language.
