Sharjah closes Khorfakkan road for six days for maintenance

Sharjah has announced that a road in Khorfakkan will be closed for six days starting from Monday, August 24. The closure will impact Ali bin Abi Talib Street, which will be shut down in the direction from Hayawa Square to Al Majlis Al Adabi Square in Al Bardi 4. The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has initiated the maintenance work to enhance traffic flow and road safety.

The affected section of the street will be closed within the designated work zone, with motorists instructed to use alternative internal roads around Al Bardi 4. A traffic diversion plan has been implemented, marking the closed section in red and alternative routes in green. Drivers can still reach their destinations within Al Bardi 4 through the surrounding internal road network, with routes varying based on their specific destinations.

The authority has emphasized the importance of following temporary road signs and approved diversions, urging drivers not to enter lanes reserved for maintenance crews. Compliance with the diversions is crucial to ensure the safety of motorists and workers while maintaining smooth and efficient traffic flow during the six-day closure.
