Reliva Technology signs MoU with BASF Malaysia for e-Roads implementation

PETALING JAYA: Fintech firm Reliva Technology Sdn Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BASF Malaysia Sdn Bhd to roll out an e-Roads system aimed at bolstering transport safety for heavy vehicles. Reliva's chairman, Noor Amin Noor Khan, emphasized that the partnership represents "an important milestone for both organizations."

e-Roads, developed by BASF Malaysia, a subsidiary of a German multinational chemical company, seeks to streamline compliance management while enhancing road safety and optimizing transport operations. Amin explained that true digitalization goes beyond merely substituting paper with technology, asserting that it should deliver "better visibility, better information, better decision-making, and ultimately, safer operations."

According to Amin, e-Roads operates on a straightforward concept: the driver, vehicle, and information must be interconnected before any journey commences. When these components are properly linked, organizations can more effectively identify risks, intervene promptly, make informed decisions, and improve overall transport management.

The chairman highlighted that this MoU signing is more than a mere technology implementation; it signifies the beginning of a broader journey towards a more connected, transparent, and data-driven transport ecosystem in Malaysia.
