‘Please don’t make your judgment’: Yashasvi Jaiswal hits back after Harsha Bhogle weighs in on Asitha Fernando clash

India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has responded to criticism after being involved in an altercation with Sri Lanka pacer Asitha Fernando during a Test match in Colombo. Jaiswal hit back at Harsha Bhogle's comments on the incident, expressing frustration that critics did not know what was said to him on the field. Bhogle suggested that walking away would have been the right response, stating that giving provocation leads to a need to take retaliation.

Jaiswal, however, defended his actions, stating that if someone says something unacceptable, the best course of action is to let them know, and that India would fight and reply. The incident occurred when Jaiswal was dismissed for 45 runs; contact between Jaiswal's helmet and Fernando's forehead ensued, followed by a push. The pair were eventually separated by Sri Lanka captain Dhananjaya de Silva.
