Peskov threatens daily Russian strikes on Kyiv over Ukraine’s attacks on Ozon

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned Kyiv of imminent Russian strikes daily and nightly, following Ukraine's attacks on the online retailer Ozon. The Kremlin spokesman referred to President Putin, who had previously accused Ukraine of provoking the conflict and suggested that Kyiv should now anticipate a response. Peskov emphasized that Kyiv would continue to face these responses "every day, every night."

He also reiterated a claim made by Putin on August 22, stating that Ukraine was targeting commercial facilities for various objectives and had not achieved success. Peskov suggested that Ukraine's attacks were intended to influence the battlefield situation. Despite Ukraine's claims of failure, Peskov acknowledged that Russian authorities are still working on measures to support businesses and residents impacted by the strikes.

No comprehensive solutions have been finalized. The Ozon headquarters in Samara Oblast was hit by Ukrainian drones on August 22, marking the first instance of such an attack. A video of the incident in Orenburg was shared online on August 23. On August 23, Ukraine's Defense Ministry stated that the attacks on Ozon were part of a series of strikes on the largest Wildberries hubs, with 15 major Wildberries facilities targeted.
