Haaland, who previously sported a striking blonde mane, has trimmed his hair with a buzz cut and shared his new look on social media. The 26-year-old joked that his previous hairstyles included images showing a variety of less successful hair ideas.

Haaland's teammate Jack Grealish and former City manager Pep Guardiola expressed enthusiasm for Haaland's new look, describing him as looking "about 17 years old" and "about 10 years old," respectively. Guardiola even stated that he could not stop looking at Haaland's new haircut. Haaland had previously joked about Zlatan Ibrahimovic's advice not to cut his long hair, saying he was nervous about the change but ultimately embracing the new appearance. Ibrahimovic, however, was not amused, suggesting that Haaland had perhaps paid for his new look.
