Nawaz consults PML-N leaders on AJK govt formation

PML-N President Nawaz Sharif convened a meeting of his party leaders to deliberate on the formation of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government and the selection of candidates for the prime ministerial position. Six women candidates are competing for five reserved seats in the Legislative Assembly. The meeting also addressed the political climate in the country, Imran Khan's health, and recent Supreme Court rulings.

Party leaders Shah Ghulam Qadir and Tariq Farooq are the leading contenders for the prime ministerial role. The PML-N is currently finalizing its strategy for the reserved seats elections, with the legislative assembly scheduled to convene today to select six candidates for the five women's constituencies.
