‘Naa Ramudu, a simplified Ramayanam, book released in Srikakulam

Religious scholar and poet Yerrapragada Ramakrishna unveiled a new version of the Ramayana titled 'Naa Ramudu' at a ceremony held in Srikakulam. The simplified Ramayanam aims to help the younger generation grasp the moral lessons and values of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. Mr. Ramakrishna praised Nikku Appana, an academician and executive committee member of the Indian Red Cross Society, for his work in making the epic accessible to all.

Appanna explained that his inspiration for writing 'Naa Ramudu' was the recently completed Lord Rama's temple in Ayodhya and his personal connection to temples in Srikakulam and other locations. After conducting a thorough study of various Ramayanam books penned by scholars, Appanna decided to create a simplified version of the epic.

At the event, IRCS Srikakulam Chairman P. Jagan Mohana Rao and several writers and poets congratulated both Ramakrishna and Appanna. They acknowledged Appanna's achievement in demonstrating that one's age should not hinder scholarly pursuits or the publication of books for the betterment of society.
