Deion Sanders' Final Message Before Browns Quarterback Decision Going Viral
Deion Sanders' final message on social media before the Cleveland Browns quarterback decision sparked reaction from fans.
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, known for his strong faith, frequently shared religious messages on social media. Typically, these messages appeared in his feed every morning. On a Monday, Sanders broke his routine by sending two messages just hours before the Cleveland Browns announced their starting quarterback. The last message read: "God is Good!
Don’t ever question GOD! His ways aren’t our ways but his ways is the way." Less than an hour after posting, the Browns reportedly selected veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson as the starter for their season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 13. The news did not sit well with fans who had hoped for their own quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, to be named starter.
Fans took to the comments section, expressing disappointment and skepticism. One fan said, "Hopefully this is a sign you know something we don’t yet," while another remarked, "Prime, our city rides with #2." Another fan believed Watson was the starter and expressed disdain, claiming, "He is garbage and the NFL has to be behind this that’s why they scheduled the Browns for 2 road games to start." Ultimately, the Browns opted for Watson over Sanders' son.
