Mike Vrabel Places Blame for Patriots Problem Before 2026 Season
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel placed blame for a problem facing the team before the 2026 season.
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel criticized the team's lack of depth before the 2026 season begins. During a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Vrabel stated, "I do not think we have a very deep team." Vrabel emphasized that the issue lies with the young players the team needs to develop, adding, "We are the front office.
We are all making the decisions." This assessment comes as the Patriots, under Vrabel's leadership, entered the 2025 season with low expectations following a poor performance under previous head coach Jerod Mayo. The team is set to face the Seattle Seahawks in their season opener on September 9.
