Mike Vrabel Doesn't Hold Back Thoughts on Problem Plaguing Patriots
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was honest about the state of the team's roster before the 2026 season.
New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel expressed concern about his team's lack of depth before the start of the 2026 season. He acknowledged that the team relies heavily on draft picks and needs to focus on developing late-round selections, including interior offensive linemen, special teams linebackers, and edge guys who can adapt to the 3-4 defense.
Vrabel emphasized that the team is still in progress and must improve the resources available to its current roster. He stated that the Patriots will need to be prepared to play without key players due to injuries and other issues throughout the season. The Patriots are scheduled to face the Seattle Seahawks, who beat them 55-10 in last year's Super Bowl, on September 9.
