Mahkamah tolak saman pemula kosong balai, kediaman rasmi Undang Rembau, Sungei Ujong

Mahkamah Tinggi Seremban, located in Seremban, Malaysia, has dismissed two initial lawsuits filed by the government of Negeri Sembilan seeking possession of empty government buildings and private residences in Undang Rembau and Sungei Ujong. According to the Berita Harian, the presiding judge, Roz Mawar Rozain, rejected the dismissal of the two lawsuits, and ordered the state government to pay RM25,000 each to the first two respondents, Abdul Rahim Yasin and Mubarak Thahak.

The state government had filed the initial lawsuits against Rahim and Mubarak separately on July 16 and 17, 2021. The individuals occupying the Undang Rembau and Sungei Ujong government buildings are also listed as respondents. The state government claimed ownership of the four empty buildings and demanded that the respondents leave the premises without any valid permit or legal right, stating that their continued occupation was a crime and without any rights to remain.

During today's hearing, the state government was represented by Hariz Md Yusoff, while Rahim was represented by Choo Shi Jin and Emirul Sarifuddin Nor Azmi, and Mubarak by Asmawi Ismail. The decision was made through a virtual meeting via Zoom. On August 1, 2021, the Court of Appeal and State Law Council of Negeri Sembilan announced that Mubarak had been removed as the Sungei Ujong undang luak according to traditional undang luak before.

DKU also announced that Rahim had never been appointed as the Sah undang Rembau according to the desired law.
