Ligue 1: PSG have won nothing, Enrique warns players after Rennes draw

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has cautioned his squad that their recent triumphs should not lead to complacency as they begin the new Ligue 1 season. The warning came after PSG fought back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw with Stade Rennais on Sunday, according to Reuters. Despite winning the European Super Cup this month, PSG lost the French Super Cup to Racing Lens.

The team struggled in the first half against Rennes, leading to two substitutions at halftime. Mika Godts and Ferran Torres replaced Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with Torres scoring twice to earn a point for PSG. "Football is like that. Paris Saint-Germain have won nothing, nothing," Enrique emphasized, urging his players to constantly prove themselves.

He stressed the importance of maintaining their winning mentality in every match and training session. The coach was pleased with the impact of the bench players, particularly Torres, who scored twice on his debut. Enrique also noted that competition for positions in the squad would be tougher this season. While satisfied with the transfer window's outcome, he acknowledged the need for improvement to maintain their Ligue 1 title and Champions League ambitions.
