Jim Harbaugh raves about new Chargers starting center Jake Slaughter

In response to Tyler Biadasz's season-ending injury, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has expressed his full confidence in rookie Jake Slaughter to lead the starting center position. With Biadasz out for the entire season, Harbaugh promptly promoted Slaughter to the starting role, marking a crucial shift for the offensive line just weeks before the NFL season commences.

Harbaugh emphasized that the center position, along with right guard, right tackle, and left tackle, are now fully set. Slaughter, an All-American at the University of Florida, was initially drafted 63rd overall in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. After primarily competing for the starting left guard spot throughout the summer, Biadasz's injury caused Slaughter to revert to his original collegiate position.
