Gurman: Early Testers Rate iPhone Ultra Positively, Save For Camera

Early testers of the highly anticipated foldable iPhone Ultra have given the device generally positive feedback, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. The main advantages include its compact size when folded, which makes it easy to carry in a pocket, as well as the hinge's durability and an app layout reminiscent of an iPad. The form factor of the Ultra is compared to the passport-sized Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8.

However, the lack of a telephoto zoom camera is cited as a significant drawback. Apple may be positioning the Ultra with a US$2,000 price tag, and the absence of a telephoto camera puts the foldable in competition with the iPhone Air, which has only a wide-angle camera. Despite the criticism, some testers have mentioned that the Ultra "excels as a camera viewfinder."
