Four arrested with leopard skin, 17 claws in Bhadradri Kothagudem

On Monday, a joint team comprising the Burgampadu police and a Task Force arrested four individuals and seized a leopard skin along with 17 claws in Thallagommuru village, Burgampadu mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem district. The accused individuals identified were Challa Anil Kumar, Kunja Bhadraiah, Kunja Gangaraju, and Madvi Kannaiah, all hailing from Gammalakota village in Polavaram district, Andhra Pradesh.

The police claim that the trio from Gammalakota allegedly killed a leopard that had fallen into a ditch near their village during the summer. They reportedly removed the leopard's skin and claws from the carcass with the intention of later selling them. On Monday, the accused are said to have brought the leopard skin and claws to Anil Kumar's residence in Thallagommuru to sell them.

Following a tip-off, the police and Task Force personnel arrested the four suspects and seized the leopard skin and claws from their possession. Further investigation is currently underway.
