Foreign Affairs Ministry invites contributions for special Ghanaian Envoy newsletter on reparatory justice

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ghana has opened a call for public submissions to its special edition of the Ghanaian Envoy newsletter, focusing on the country's Reparatory Justice Agenda. This edition aims to document and chronicle Ghana's efforts in advancing the agenda, which seeks justice, recognition and redress for historical injustices related to the transatlantic slave trade and colonialism.

The publication seeks to explore Ghana's role in international discussions on reparatory justice and to gather diverse perspectives on the country's advocacy efforts.

The Ministry invites contributions from various stakeholders including academics, researchers, practitioners, civil society organizations, historians, and other interested parties. Submissions can encompass the historical context of reparatory justice, Ghana's advocacy efforts, international engagements, milestones achieved so far, challenges faced, and potential pathways forward.

The submissions should be succinct, well-researched, and directly pertinent to the special edition's purpose. Original, unpublished articles are encouraged for consideration.

All interested contributors are required to submit their articles to the Information and Public Affairs Bureau (IPAB) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via ipab@mfa.gov.gh. Along with the article, authors must include a recent, high-resolution (JPEG or PNG) headshot photograph. The deadline for submission is September 2. The Ministry hopes these contributions will offer insightful perspectives that enrich both national and international discourse on reparatory justice.
