Emirates resumes Dubai-Kuwait flights with limited daily service

Emirates has restarted limited daily flights from Dubai to Kuwait after a prolonged suspension caused by regional conflict. The airline's inaugural service, flight EK857, departed Dubai International Airport at 2:55pm and touched down at Kuwait International Airport at 3:45pm local time. This marks a modest return to one of Emirates' primary Gulf routes, which previously operated four daily services to Kuwait.

The resumption comes as Emirates had previously suspended its Kuwait services due to security concerns and travel disruptions in the Gulf. As recently as August 14, no Emirates-operated flights between Dubai and Kuwait appeared on the airline's website. Additionally, Emirates had halted services to Bahrain, but a limited return to that route began on August 15 with a single daily flight, down from three before the disruption.

With Emirates now offering limited services to Kuwait, both of the UAE's major long-haul airlines are providing reduced operations to the country. Etihad, too, had limited its Kuwait services during the recent unrest, operating only one daily flight by mid-August. Flights between the UAE and Kuwait have repeatedly faced disruptions in recent weeks, with Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia, and flydubai adjusting or canceling services at various points.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways have maintained several daily flights between Kuwait and the UAE as the security situation continues to evolve. Passengers are advised to verify the status of their flights before traveling.
