Emirates resumes Dubai-Kuwait flights with limited daily service

Emirates has recommenced limited flights between Dubai and Kuwait following an extended suspension due to regional conflict. The airline's flight EK857 operates daily, departing Dubai International Airport at 2.55pm and arriving in Kuwait International Airport at 3.45pm local time. This marks a modest return for one of Emirates' crucial Gulf routes.

Prior to the disruption, the carrier offered four daily services to Kuwait, including EK853, EK855, EK857, and EK859. The suspension was prompted by security concerns and the impact on air travel in the Gulf. As recently as August 14, no Emirates-operated flights to Kuwait were listed on the airline's website. Emirates had also suspended services to Bahrain but reinstated a limited service on August 15, reducing from three to one daily flight.

With this resumption, both Emirates and Etihad are now offering limited services to Kuwait. Etihad reduced its Kuwait operations during the unrest, operating only one daily service by mid-August. Other airlines, such as Air Arabia and flydubai, have also adjusted or canceled their services, while Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways continue to operate multiple daily flights between Kuwait and the UAE.
