Eintracht Frankfurt keeping tabs on Ajax defender Baas

Freiburg is giving Eintracht Frankfurt permission to pursue a transfer for goalkeeper Noah Atubolu. The German goalkeeper's ambition to join the Premier League seems unlikely to materialize during the upcoming summer transfer window. Consequently, Freiburg are exploring a suitable alternative for the disgruntled goalkeeper. Eintracht Frankfurt, as the frontrunner, are reportedly mulling over a deal for Atubolu.

According to Bild, SC Freiburg head coach Julian Schuster acknowledges the club's stature in Germany, suggesting that Atubolu could potentially become their starting goalkeeper. The feasibility of the transfer will depend on the negotiations between the two clubs. Freiburg is reportedly asking for €15 million to permit Atubolu's departure.

An alternative scenario has also been proposed, wherein the goalkeeper extends his contract by an additional year until 2028, and instead undergoes a loan spell. Atubolu must currently prioritize his fitness, stating that the club will involve him in training to elevate his performance. Head coach Schuster emphasized the club's responsibility and duty towards the player currently under contract, ensuring he receives the required workload and training to reach the next level.
