Edun Debunks NBB of C Falsehood, Threatens Lawsuit Against Aboderin, Others

The President of the Nigeria Boxing Federation, Hon. Wale Edun, has vehemently denied recent allegations made by former General Secretary of the defunct Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC), Remi Aboderin. According to a statement released by Edun's Communication Director, Mathew Okugbe, the publication claiming that Edun had reinstated the NBBofC as the country’s professional boxing authority is a "criminal act of knavery and falsity."

Edun emphasized that the publication serves only to mislead the public and has further solidified the international boxing community's decision to blacklist the NBBofC's operations. He also mentioned a meeting with Remi Aboderin and his associates at the All of Fame Gym in Lagos, where discussions were centered around resolving issues with international professional boxing authorities through collaboration with the Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF).

Edun sternly warned Aboderin and others involved in such deceitful activities to stop, threatening legal action if they persist in their fraudulent endeavors. Vice President of the Nigeria Boxing Federation, Hon. Omonlei Imadu, commended Edun for his visionary leadership and the significant progress achieved in the sport under his guidance.
