Baby Angels brings Taegyo, Korean prenatal education to Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 — Baby Angels Childcare Centre Sdn Bhd is introducing Taegyo, a Korean prenatal education programme, to Malaysian families. The initiative aims to establish a bond between parents and their unborn child even before birth. The story of Baby Angels began with a question many Malaysian families grapple with: "Who can we trust with our baby?"

Working parents faced challenges balancing careers with newborn care, leading founders to discover a gap in the market for infant care services. The founders sought to create an environment that blended professional care, early childhood development, safety, comfort, and emotional connection for families during pregnancy. Taegyo, created by Jiwon Yoon, Ph.D., a Korean American educator, researcher, and writer, encourages expectant parents to actively participate in the pregnancy journey.

With 20 years of teaching and research experience, Jiwon adapted the programme to focus on emotional well-being, family relationships, and prenatal bonding. Taegyo highlights the roles of both parents in building a loving connection with the unborn baby through simple practices, such as talking, singing, and reading. The programme will debut at the BIG Baby Expo in Kuala Lumpur, offering early bird registration opportunities and a lucky draw for baby cots sponsored by Malaysian brand Crolla Baby.
