After handcuff footage, ECB takes big call on Carse before Pakistan 2nd Test

England’s cricket authorities are investigating a reported nightclub incident involving fast bowler Brydon Carse, who is part of the test squad preparing for an upcoming match against Pakistan. Videos posted on social media on Sunday seem to depict Carse in handcuffs being escorted away from a club by police officers. The incident allegedly took place outside a nightclub in Derby, a city in the East Midlands, on Saturday, according to the footage.

The England and Wales Cricket Board stated on Sunday that they are aware of the incident and are currently probing it. They have promised to provide further updates when available. As of now, Carse has not been removed from the England squad for the second test match, which is set to begin on Thursday at Lord's. This incident follows a similar nightclub altercation in June that involved former test captain Ben Stokes and bowler Gus Atkinson.

Both players were subsequently dropped from the team that played against New Zealand. However, Stokes later rejoined the squad before eventually announcing his retirement from cricket.
