A new victim has come forward in the case against former Chungcheongbuk-do Governor, Choi Eun-jung, who was accused of soliciting sex from minors. The investigation into Choi's alleged crimes has revealed that there are four victims in total, rather than just the one initially disclosed. Forensic analysis of Choi's phone and social media accounts revealed the full extent of his crimes against young girls.

Choi still maintains his innocence regarding his alleged offenses against minors. The Chungcheongbuk-do Police Office confirmed on the 24th that additional criminal charges were filed against Choi for further offenses against minors. Police discovered that Choi did not only target a middle school student named G-yaeng, but also other minors.

The police sent the findings to prosecutors, who are expected to file charges soon. Choi has previously admitted to having sexual relations with middle school student G-yaeng and three other girls at a motel and car in Sejong. During the investigation, Choi claimed he didn't realize the girls were minors, but additional details emerged during the probe.

The victims were forced to watch sexual videos of themselves and some received photos of other victims' bodies. Choi was under investigation by the police when he ran for a seat in the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Assembly during the 2023 local elections, and he was elected. Police conducted a forced search of Choi's Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Assembly office after confirming his election as a provincial lawmaker.

As the investigation intensified, Choi resigned from his position as a member of the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Assembly, and prosecutors arrested him on the 30th of last month.
