19-year-old killed, friend injured after truck hits motorcycle on Delhi's Indraprastha flyover

In a recent accident in Delhi, two Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) were among several individuals injured when a car collided with an SUV at the ITO traffic signal. The incident took place on Sunday night around 9:30 pm near the PWD office, close to the old Police Headquarters. The Swift car, driven by 32-year-old Ashutosh Pandey, was traveling from Laxmi Nagar towards ITO when it lost control near the PWD office, hit the road divider, crossed over the barrier, and entered the opposite lane.

There, it crashed into the Innova, driven by MLA Anil Jha from Kirari assembly constituency and MLA Abhay Patil from Karnataka.

Delhi Police received a call about the road traffic accident at PS I.P. Estate. A preliminary inquiry revealed that the Swift had lost control near the PWD office before crashing into the SUV. All those involved sustained minor injuries and were taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition. The collision caused considerable damage to the front of the SUV. Fire brigade personnel were called to the scene to assist in removing the damaged vehicles and restoring traffic flow.
