10 ditahan susulan penemuan mayat terikat dalam rumah

Policeman George Abd Rakman of Sandakan confirmed that the arrest of ten individuals took place within a span of less than 24 hours following the discovery of a wealthy man's body in an interlinked room at a residence in Sandakan, Sabah. The police identified two individuals as the primary suspects after conducting further inquiries.

The motive behind the incident is believed to be a dispute over the management of rental payments, as well as the victim's dissatisfaction with the increased monthly rental fees imposed by the property owners. According to Berita Harian, the reason for the arrest was reported to the newspaper.

The victim, aged 62, was found by a police officer who was conducting a check on the house after receiving information from the public about a foul odor. The police stated that the deceased had likely passed away within a few days, given the condition of the body.

Ten individuals were detained, comprising five men and five women, with three of them being Filipina nationals and the rest local residents. All of them were found to be related to each other. The police also seized a wooden object believed to have been used in the incident, along with some of the victim's personal belongings.

The investigation is being conducted under Section 302 of the Offenses Against the Person Act.
