10 ditahan susulan penemuan mayat terikat dalam rumah

Sandakan police have detained 10 individuals in connection with the discovery of a decomposed body of a wealthy individual inside a house. Chief Police Officer George Abd Rakman stated that the arrest took place within 24 hours of the discovery, and two individuals have been identified as the primary suspects following further inquiries.

The motive for the incident is believed to be a dispute over salary adjustments and the victim's dissatisfaction with the monthly rent increase, according to Berita Harian. The body of the 62-year-old victim was found by a police officer who inspected the house on Wednesday after receiving information from locals about a foul smell.

The victim is believed to have passed away within a few days, based on the condition of the body. Police confirmed that the detained individuals consist of five men and five women, three of whom are Filipina, while the rest are locals, all of whom have family connections. Police also seized a wooden plank believed to have been used in the incident, along with some personal belongings of the victim. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
