Three Israeli Jews rescued after entering prohibited Palestinian Authority areas in West Bank

Israeli authorities rescued three Jews in recent days after they trespassed into Palestinian Authority-controlled areas in the West Bank. The incidents unfolded near Bethlehem, Jericho, and Ramallah, all falling under Area A of the West Bank. Entering Area A is strictly forbidden for Israelis.

On Sunday, the Civil Administration was alerted about an armed Israeli Jew spotted near the village of Ein Arik in the Binyamin area. Binyamin Coordination and Liaison Administration officers swiftly coordinated with IDF troops to rescue him, who was then transferred to the IDF team.

Meanwhile, a report was received about an Israeli Jewish woman walking through Jericho, a city in the Jordan Valley area. The Jordan Valley Coordination and Liaison Administration acted promptly to rescue her, as she had intentionally entered the Palestinian city. The woman was taken to Hebron by force earlier in August.

In Bethlehem, an Israeli man believed to be mentally disturbed was seen wandering the city's streets. Local residents reported the situation to security forces, and he was quickly handed over to them.

All three rescue operations were handed over for further handling by the Judea and Samaria District Police. The security establishment emphasized that entering Area A, which is under Palestinian Authority control, is life-threatening and unlawful.

A separate incident from earlier this month involved a woman in her 20s from central Israel who was forcibly taken to Hebron by her relatives. She was subsequently located and rescued by Israeli police, IDF troops, and Palestinian Authority police. The detained relatives will be transferred to Tel Aviv district for further investigation, and the woman was found to be in good health at the time of rescue. Israeli police, IDF troops, and Palestinian Authority police all played a role in the rescue efforts.
