The Kapil Sharma Show star Rajiv Thakur’s father dies; Krushna Abhishek mourns demise

It is with deep sorrow that actor-comedian Rajiv Thakur's father has passed away, forcing the comedian to cancel a scheduled appearance in Indore with fellow comedian Krushna Abhishek. Krushna, who had already arrived in the city, delivered the news to his followers and updated them on the change in plans. A video shared by the event management company revealed that Rajiv was scheduled to perform alongside Krushna in Indore, but tragically lost his father while they were traveling to the event.

Krushna expressed his grief in the video, stating, "Just as we were taking off for Indore, Rajiv Thakur, who was supposed to perform with me in Indore tomorrow, lost his father." He further commented on the impact of the loss on Rajiv and those around him, saying, "This is very sad news for him, me and the entire fraternity." Krushna subsequently informed ticket holders of the change in plans due to Rajiv's absence.

Unfortunately, Rajiv Thakur has not yet released a statement or addressed the media regarding the passing of his father. Known for his comedic talents in Hindi television and Punjabi cinema, Rajiv gained recognition after participating in the third season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He subsequently appeared in various comedy shows, such as Comedy Circus and The Kapil Sharma Show.
