Thailand percepat langkah keamanan susulan siri pengeboman serentak 3 wilayah selatan

Thailand is evaluating and working to maintain security in its three southernmost regions – Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala – following a series of simultaneous violent incidents including bombings, arson of government offices and vehicle torching, reported across the areas. The statement from the Area 4 Internal Security Operations Center (ISOC 4) said Thai authorities will continue monitoring the situation, deploying all units to investigate and take security measures to protect civilians and restore normalcy as soon as possible.

Narathiwat previously faced a curfew from 10:15 pm on August 22 until 5 am on August 23. Over 50 incidents, including bombings, arson of local government offices and vehicle torching, were reported in the three regions. ISOC 4 urges the public to report any suspicious individuals, objects or vehicles to local authorities. Commander of Narathiwat Police Force Yodawud Phuengphak explained the curfew was to allow authorities to control the situation and ensure public safety.

The curfew gave military personnel full authority to perform security measures, including search, area control and action under the Army Act 1914. This action was necessary given the current circumstances while the public was directed to seek clarification from military, police, village head or local administration officials before leaving.
