Ten-year-old killed in road accident: PMC admin told to pay Rs 6L compensation to deceased’s kin

A ten-year-old boy, Viraj Patole, lost his life in a road accident on Sus-Mhalunge Road in Pune as a result of a pothole, according to PMC standing committee chairman Srinath Bhimale. The child was a pillion rider on his father Sandeep's motorcycle, along with his sister. The incident occurred when a truck collided with their two-wheeler, causing Patole to lose balance and fall off the bike. The family resides in Maan area.

In accordance with a court order from the Bombay High Court, BMC standing committee chairman Srinath Bhimale instructed Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram to immediately pay a compensation of Rs 6 lakh to the deceased's family. Bhimale emphasized that the compensation should be provided promptly, as per the court's directive, before any further actions against the responsible authorities. The compensation would also be extended to those injured in the accident, depending on the severity of their injuries.
