Teen found dead after disappearing during tahfiz programme in Negeri Sembilan

An 11-year-old boy who vanished during a tahfiz programme in Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan, was discovered dead in a nearby pond. Police suspect he may have drowned. The Nilai district police chief, Superintendent Johari Yahya, reported receiving a call about the boy's disappearance at 12:28am and initiating a search operation. Rescuers found the victim in a weak state in the pond and provided emergency treatment before a thorough examination.

Unfortunately, the boy was pronounced dead by a medical officer from Lenggeng Health Clinic. His body was transferred to the Forensic Department of Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital for a post-mortem. Authorities are still investigating the incident to understand the exact sequence of events and possible negligence. The police have asked the public not to speculate and to maintain the victim's family's privacy.
