Saif Ali Khan has revealed that the veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan bears a striking resemblance to his late father, legendary cricketer Tiger Pataudi. The actor made this comparison while promoting the action thriller Haiwaan, which he is set to star in alongside Akshay Kumar. Tiger Pataudi, who lost his right eye in a car accident, and Priyadarshan both share a history of losing an eye in unfortunate circumstances and excelling in their respective professions.

Tiger Pataudi, who made his Test debut at just 20 years old, became the youngest captain of the Indian cricket team, while Priyadarshan has directed 99 films, including his latest project Haiwaan. Both the actor and filmmaker praised Priyadarshan's seniority and calm demeanor, likening him to the legendary Clint Eastwood.
