Qatar Philatelic Center Takes Part in Asian Stamp Exhibition in Indonesia

The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center, part of the Ministry of Culture, is taking part in the Asian Stamp Exhibition in Bandung, Indonesia, from August 27th to 31st. This event is organized by the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), which is also hosting meetings of its Executive Committee during the same time. The Qatar center will exhibit five stamp collections that have previously won medals at international exhibitions, including Qatar's inaugural definitive stamps, Kuwait's postal history, Oman's postal history, the Yemeni city of Aden's postal history, and World War II interred covers from the United States and Switzerland.

The Qatar center is a member of both the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP) and FIAP. It actively participates in international exhibitions organized by these organizations, aiming to promote and encourage stamp and coin collecting. The center also strives to advance the hobby and create opportunities for its development, providing various means for its members to engage in philately.
