‘Reassuring voice of India’: Sena UBT praises Rahul Gandhi’s Pune student event

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare hailed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi as the "reassuring voice of India" following the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition's 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' event in Pune. Andhare noted that the event stood out for not using any party symbols or flags and that Rahul Gandhi was surrounded by only five to six bodyguards.

She praised the young women who spoke candidly with him, highlighting that this level of trust and warmth was rare even between them and their mothers or close female friends. Andhare also commended Rahul Gandhi for the courage to directly criticize the Manusmriti on a political platform. Meanwhile, her party colleague Sanjay Raut suggested that the BJP has been rattled by Rahul Gandhi's interaction with students, alleging that the saffron party had raised questions about the funding sources for the event.

NCP(SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, who welcomed Rahul Gandhi with banners, noted the enthusiasm and liveliness in the crowd that had gathered spontaneously for the Congress leader.
