'Real life Batman': Posters comparing Rahul to caped crusader put up near Congress’ headquarters

Posters comparing Congress Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi to Batman have been displayed near the party's headquarters and in central Delhi. The images juxtapose Gandhi's photograph with that of the comic book hero. The posters carry the tagline "The Real Life Batman" alongside captions such as "The Silent Guardian" and "A Watchful Protector."

The posters are the idea of Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress chief Akshay Lakra. Congress media and publicity head Pawan Khera noted that not all heroes wear capes, some wear a white T-shirt and cargo pants like Gandhi. The campaign follows a witty exchange during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session where Gandhi playfully dodged the Batman comparison, stating, "Let's just say that no one has ever seen Batman and me in the same room together."
