Paris Saint-Germain must resist the temptation to sell Liverpool target Ibrahim Mbaye, despite interest from clubs such as Liverpool, Bournemouth, and Borussia Dortmund. The 18-year-old Senegal forward joined the club’s academy in 2018 and made 24 Ligue 1 appearances last season, recording three goals and two assists. Mbaye’s impressive statistics demonstrate his potential to develop further with PSG, who have spent heavily building a strong squad.

His performances in the 2026 World Cup, including his goal against France at the age of 18, have raised his profile and highlighted his speed, confidence, and ability to escape tight spaces. PSG should not sell Mbaye because his contract extends until 2028, and selling him now would risk repeating an old problem where the club develops talented footballers only for another club to benefit from their prime years.
