Policing action was taken after a video of a banned event went viral on Facebook, showing a race held on the Lebuhraya Linkedua highway. Eight individuals were detained to assist with the investigation related to the road closure put in place to allow the illegal race to take place. Kulai Police Chief Tan Seng Lee stated that all suspects aged between 26 and 45 years old will be brought before Kulai High Court tomorrow under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedures Code, according to Sinar Harian.

Earlier, police monitored a video of the incident circulating on Facebook, which depicted two motorcycles with unknown registration numbers and types, competing against each other from KM33, weaving through the Senai Northern Toll to KM31, and then through the Johor Premium Outlet (JPO). Tan added that his officers also tried to locate other individuals present at the scene who witnessed the act. Further investigations are ongoing to identify all individuals involved.
