Police arrest Tope Osoba’s lover, Prophet Itunu over her death [VIDEO]

Prophet Itunu, the late Nigerian actress Tope Osoba's lover, has been arrested in connection with her death. Tope Osoba, known as Tope Osoba, passed away on August 4, 2026, two years after her battle with breast cancer. The actress' close associates and friends had publicly accused Itunu and his siblings of involvement in her demise.

Following the outcry, the family delayed Tope's burial to allow for a thorough police investigation. Police arrested Itunu and another unidentified hairdresser on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, along with a third individual, Pelumi, who is accused of rape. The actress' friend and online personality Akeem, known as 'Oko Awon Single Mother', confirmed the arrests in an Instagram video, expressing hope for justice and praising the police for responding to public calls for accountability.
