Man City agree £86m deal for teen midfielder Bouaddi

Manchester City have reached an agreement worth £86 million with Lille to sign 18-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. BBC Sport previously reported that talks between the two clubs were progressing. The Moroccan international, who starred for Morocco in the World Cup, will join City after Lille accept an initial fee of £81.4 million plus £4.2 million in add-ons.

City, who have recently transferred Rodri to Barcelona and Tijjani Reinders to Al-Qadsiah, are focusing on strengthening their central midfield. They are also interested in Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez, but the deal's progress remains uncertain. City has already added England's Elliot Anderson for £116 million from Nottingham Forest. The Premier League season kicks off for City against Bournemouth on Sunday.
